YOUTH ACADEMY – NEW GENERATION, NEW INVENTIONS

Today in our country there are no limits to the opportunities created for the education, self-improvement, personal and professional development of young people. No matter what field or direction, young people have their place and their say in all of them. At the root of every success achieved by the youth of our country lies the reforms implemented in our country to support the youth. In Uzbekistan, a number of social projects, platforms and programs have been developed for young people to support and encourage them based on the scope of their activities. These programs are aimed at creating opportunities for young people in areas such as education, professional development, sports, art and culture, supporting the social, economic and cultural development of young people, and the platforms are tailored to the interests and needs of young people and serve to enhance their future.
The Youth Academy is one of the main platforms aimed at raising, supporting and encouraging the research, innovative, inventive and rationalizing activities of young people in our country to a new level. Youth Academy under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan – by the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to improve the system of attracting young people to the field of science and supporting their initiatives” dated August 30, 2019 PQ-4433 established. The main goal of the Youth Academy is to further revive the work being done to support the initiatives of talented young people, to ensure the competitiveness of the country’s science at the international level, to further strengthen the potential of existing scientific schools, and to develop their innovative potential.
The Youth Academy, in cooperation with state and economic management bodies, scientific research and educational institutions, will increase the creative, intellectual and entrepreneurial potential of young people, form and regularly update a single database on talented and enterprising young people, and ensure their cooperation with leading scientists and businessmen of the country, scientific – to support talented young people with a passion for research, to create an opportunity for them to conduct practical and innovative research, to carry out systematic work on the training of young scientists of a new generation, to solve specific tasks by young scientists, to develop advanced technological developments that are in high demand in domestic and foreign markets to create favorable conditions for the exit, to direct enterprising young people to entrepreneurial activities based on the organization of scientific and innovative accelerators and business incubators, to produce products and services that meet the requirements of the times, with a high level of commercialization, for the consistent development of youth start-up projects by economic management bodies and enterprises with a state share guiding, helping talented young people to improve their skills in prestigious scientific centers, universities, technology parks and production enterprises of developed foreign countries, establishing close relations with internationally and locally recognized organizations, universities, scientific centers, master classes, trainings with the participation of their scientists and specialists, as well as, relevant aims to hold conferences, seminars and competitions in scientific and innovative directions.
Teams consisting of talented young people and students, scientists and entrepreneurs under 40 years of age with their innovative projects and ideas are admitted to the Youth Academy on a competitive basis. Currently, more than 3,400 young people have been admitted to the Youth Academy. The Youth Academy is mainly organized in the form of 4 interrelated platforms based on fields and directions.
“Generators of ideas” is a platform of teams with innovative ideas aimed at solving a specific problem related to the main directions of the Youth Academy;
“Startups” is a platform of teams with their own idea and startup projects aimed at realizing this idea and a clear plan for their implementation;
“Business representatives” is a platform of teams that use the achievements of science and innovation in their activities and have at least 1 year of experience in the relevant field;
“Future academicians” are highly scientific people who actively participate in the above platforms and make a great contribution to the development of the country’s science.
Today, 13 leaders of the Youth Academy in the regions, about 70 leaders in higher educational institutions in the regions, and 4 leaders on the platforms of the Youth Academy are helping and leading thousands of young people in our country who have connected their future with the innovative sector. Currently, the Youth Academy has managed to support the innovative ideas, developments and communities of more than 5,000 of our young people.
These are the numbers that show not only the creative and innovative activity of young people, but also how they contribute to the development of our country. Every development and idea shows that our young people have deep knowledge and experience in their fields. Projects supported by the Youth Academy include environmentally friendly energy sources, modern educational technologies, and improvement of the health care system. The Youth Academy makes an incomparable contribution to the support of young people, who are the future of our country, and their innovative development.
