MEMORIES OF AN OLD MAN
The face of an old man,
with deep wrinkles,
Remembers the past,
with a distant gaze,
Fleeting images,
of a time that is no more,
Vanish in his mind,
like dry leaves.
In his head,
thinking, a pair of old shoes,
With worn laces,
that have walked many miles,
A bare torso,
strong and vigorous,
The lower part,
a long skirt,
That billows in the wind,
with a gentle rhythm,
The old man’s memory,
is a rich recollection,
Stitched with threads of love,
work, and life.
