I AM AN UZBEK GIRL
The lullaby’s sweet melody has been with me since birth,
The song of my Motherland lives in my heart.
My homeland is my heart, my happiness, my world,
I am an Uzbek girl — the light of my nation.
I wear good manners like a crown upon my head,
I cherish my ancestors’ heritage deep within my heart.
I love the world through my mother tongue,
I am an Uzbek girl, smiling with happiness.
Atlas silk suits my graceful figure,
My love for my homeland fills every line I write.
Honour and dignity suit my noble name,
The pride of being Uzbek flows through my veins.
My fields and gardens blossom in spring,
My people’s hearts are filled with love and pride.
My heart beats for my homeland every moment,
Uzbekistan is the dearest place to me.
My dream is that the sun smiles upon my homeland,
May happiness blossom in every home.
May the glory of Uzbekistan fill the whole world,
I am an Uzbek girl — may my name bring pride!
