Poetry from Bruce Mundhenke

Elam’s Bow

Elam’s bow is broken,

God knows what’s next to come,

Other wars will follow.

Hate is a raging fire,

With never ending fuel,

It burns here,

Flares up there,

Never fully quenched.

Hate is a dead man walking,

Love is a river of life.

Forsake the tomb,

Quench the fire,

Eat from the tree of life.

Bruce  Mundhenke writes poetry and short fiction. He has worked in this life as a laborer and a registered nurse.
