Poetry from Taylor Dibbert

Fort Safeway

The Safeway

Near his apartment

Now has

Several kinds of barriers

Inside the store,

He’s learned that

This has been done

To make it harder

For people

To shoplift,

A sign

Of the times.

Taylor Dibbert is a writer, journalist, and poet in Washington, DC. “Rescue Dog,” his fifth book, was published in May.
