Poetry from Taylor Dibbert

Stinky

He’s at National

Getting into

An Uber

And as soon as

He closes

The door

He realizes

That the driver

Smells quite bad

But it’s

Cold outside

And he’s exhausted

And really needs

This ride

So he starts breathing

Through his mouth,

A five-star review

Is nowhere in sight.

Taylor Dibbert is a writer, journalist, and poet in Washington, DC. “Rescue Dog,” his fifth book, was published in May.
