Poetry from Taylor Dibbert

A Priest Asks

He’s waiting in the

American Airlines line

At the airport in Asheville

And a priest approaches him

And asks him

If the he can cut

To the front of the line

The priest says that

He’s about to

Miss his flight

Before he can respond

Another woman in line

Says yes Father

Please go ahead

And this seems fine.

Taylor Dibbert is a poet in Washington, DC. He’s author of, most recently, “Takoma.”
