The motif of patchwork collage work isolates and fragments experience. in pastiche. I enjoy looking at each crafty block of print but ultimately the lack of narrative and disjointed visuals are jarring. It is post-post modern work and bet there are devotees of the technique that like its intellectual pursuit. I’m biased to the brevity of imagery, and, I like to say world before word. That’s the irony here– the flow of words is impeded by collage making. I suspect there are those who disagree. The experiments of Dada verse began early in the last century. The pastiche of pasting words together randomly out of a hat. I do like the art of it. Reply ↓
