BOUND BY GUILT
In front of the cage,
you stood with the key,
holding me still –
„Look what you’ve done to yourself“
you screamed.
You never stopped me from running –
just chained my wrists
with silence and guilt.
You never raised a hand,
yet I wore bruises
like a second skin.
You’d laugh and say,
„So clumsy, love –
you must have tripped again“.
