A Stubborn Brain
A stubborn brain stands in despair,
Standing through the passage of centuries at a perilous pace;
Mountains of time sell their voices in melodious tunes,
While hungry eagles dwell within the brain’s very cells—
Galileo’s spinning earth remains forever famished—
Who will provide the food?
Those charged with providing sustenance are themselves without a livelihood—
This is a conviction held with stubborn certainty.
Not all planets speak falsehoods;
Which planet will dare to embrace the truth? The vessel of truth loses its livelihood;
The ship springs a leak and sinks—Tolstoy. Genius, the navigator, gathers fragments along unfamiliar paths;
Human love congeals in the stratosphere,
While ultraviolet rays battle against microbes. Virility seeks its own livelihood, trapped within the confines of a drawn circle.
