Poetry from Mirta Liliana Ramirez

Older middle aged Latina woman with short reddish brown hair, light brown eyes, and a grey blouse.

When life tasted like love

When life tasted like love

and you didn’t realize it…

When great loves

appeared in your life

and left

as fleetingly as they came…

You realized it was love

because of the taste they left,

because of the lessons…

Because of the longing, not the sadness…

I’ve experienced two loves,

different and intense

that lasted less than a sigh…
