EMERALD MEADOWS
In emerald meadows,
where the wind whispers,
Colors bloom,
in a pure dance,
Soft petals,
like silk in the sun,
a mirror of peace
where the soul surrenders
The flowers dance,
to the rhythm of the wind,
In this meadow,
time stands still,
content.

I like discovering new poets, and finding other women who write and who fill their time writing verses have always deeply inspired and motivated me to continue to write poems myself. I like the subject matter of this poem. It is healing and nourishing like rain finding its place in earth, gently feeding and nurturing the greenness of the landscape. I like the subtle energy in this poem. It resonated with me and filled me with a sense of profound peace and tranquility. It brought back warm memories that signal a kind of specific truth for me. Personally, I am drawn to this type of writing. It reminds me for some reason of my childhood, my mother’s garden, going for long walks wherever we found ourselves on holiday, discovering plant life and nature. It makes me think with feeling and an ache with a longing to belong to something greater than myself. To create, is to live twice, said Albert Camus. Poets know this feeling, this textures and shades of this sensation very, very well.
I liked your poem very much.
