Poetry from Mitchel Montagna

Paradise

The light is growing dimmer

I cannot feel to cope

I hear less than a glimmer

of the prayer we call hope.

At night we clocked the bold stars

Felt waves of sweetened pine

Traced out maps of ancient scars

through tears that soothed like wine.

I dreamt I still might find you

We’ll ride that mountain train

Where comets trail behind you

and moonlight pours like rain.

Come watch that golden glory

Attend the sky with cheers

It shimmers like a story

told for ten thousand years.

Her midnight eyes are glowing

I swear they shine for me

And stardust keeps on flowing

where heaven used to be.

Smoker’s Lament

I pace the halls like a zombie leaking

blood and fire:

It must have been the fog, injecting a

disease I cannot bear.

But when I tried to set it down,

it burrowed into my throat.

I will never sing

at birthday parties again.

Turned out that sip of molten lava was

really an invitation to the cosmos.

All ‘round the rooms, explosive

tangles of lightning and wire.

Their sizzling and thunder orchestrate

like a sadist’s tune.

The waiting, at least, is familiar:

Remember those vacant afternoons

stoned on lethargy, confusion

dissipating to disgust.

Creeping shadows reflecting

the loneliness in your eyes.

When you touched your face

you found it numb as earth,

like you were buried already.

On the Brink

The mountains stretch behind me

Wind blew me out of town

The morning sun will blind me

I rode the highway down

My friends won’t let me settle

I begged for scraps all day

Their mouths turned harsh as metal

They tore my heart away

The sweep of time will bleed you

It forces you to roam

Somebody else might need you

To find their way back home

A gauze of fog has lifted

As dawn broke through the cold

Bright banks of snowflakes drifted

I saw foothills painted gold

God’s Will

You stand against the gentle

tides, that urge you back

into the deep; this terror’s

surely racked your bones, to

cross that bright and mighty will.

Your sadness staring down

the surf, as glassy-green

as emeralds; the sunlight

glinting off the waves, and

dancing brightly in your eyes.

All the gifts you’ve conjured

up, and all the dreams that

colored you; they seethed until

they burned your hopes, and

dried your blood with bitterness.

You cannot let them pull

you down, and drown you in their

soothing waves; too horrible to

go in peace, then find your

soul still cries alone.

A Silver Sea

If you are somewhere still

What a story that would be

Of a girl’s dance down a hill

to leap into a silver sea

Splashing far beneath the sun

Where the diamond waters glide

Drifting out till day is done

to disappear beneath the tide

Like a mermaid gently flows

Through shadows dim and deep

With her skin soft as a rose

and her face relaxed in sleep

What answers did you find

In hidden gold to take

Or leave untouched behind

like ripples in your wake

The sea is dried away

Scorched by an aging sky

Then a field of ashes lay

where spirits went to die

Poetry from Stephen Jarrell Williams

Forever

They’ll never know

turning into

the dark alley

closing your eyes

all the houses with lights out

sleeping I suppose

I’ll whisper the future

and you decide if you want it

you’re so young

thinking I’m a genius

but hopefully less is more

a single touch lasting forever.

Whenever

Whenever

I touch you

you tingle

in my fingertips

you’re so ready

a sparkling pearl

soft button

opening

a world

unique

for the both of us.

Ever in Love

And we blend

into each other

color to color

a beginning

mix

unmatched unity

both sighing

at the same time.

ANARKEN FROM A BENGLADESH POET!!!

Famous Bangladeshi poet-writer Abubakar Siddique passed away on 28/12/2023 at the age of 89. The poet, who devoted most of his life to culture, arts and literature, published many works, but was never at the forefront because he was modest and modest. However, we, the world of literature and art, knew that the works he wrote were the enlighteners of the dark world, but unfortunately, this genius person passed away at the medical faculty hospital in the city of Khulna, Bangladesh, at dawn on 28/12/2023, thus a turbulent and successful life ended.

His loved ones, including me, and the people of Bangladesh were very saddened by his death, but unfortunately, the reality called death cannot be prevented. When we think about it in this context, we cannot help but say, "May God grant him a beautiful death in his death." As one of our poets said, "death is a beautiful thing, it is the news behind the curtain, if it were not beautiful at all, would the prophet have died?"

None of the people who were born approximately four billion years old have lived forever. Therefore, although I see the famous Bangladeshi poet Abubakar Siddique as one of those world changers, I think that we will witness the immortality of the poet Abubakar Siddique by being remembered with his works that are beneficial to people in this world, the life of this great literary master Abubakar Siddique. He spent his last years at his younger sister's house in the city of Khulna. The poet Abubakar Siddique, who was born like a sun in Gotapara village of Nanabari city in August 1934, contributed to Bangladeshi Literature by publishing his first poetry book "Dhabhal Dudher swargram" in 1969.

We can list the works he wrote later as follows: Works such as Binidra Kale Vale"1976"Oloksabhyata"1984-"Hemanter Sonalata" 1995-"Manush Tomar Bikshat Din" 1986- are among his many published works, and we also see dozens of story books of the late poet among these works. Of course, people are born and die at an unknowable moment. Deaths reveal very important differences between people, some people are just born and die after a while, but some people are born, they just change the world, but they are remembered with the works they left in the world and live in hearts, just like the Bengladesh poet Abubakar Siddique we mentioned.

Of course, the Turkish poet Yahya Kemal As Beyatlı said in his poem "THE SILENT SHIP", if it is time to set anchor, a ship sailing from time to the unknown departs from this port. It sails silently, as if it had no passengers; Neither a handkerchief nor an arm is waved in that departure. Those who remain at the dock are saddened by this journey, To the black horizon for days. He looks at you with moist eyes, helpless hearts! This is not the last ship to leave! This is not the last mourning of the long life. The one who has been loved in the world and the one who loves waits in vain; He does not know that the departed lovers will not return.

Each of the many departed is happy, Many years have passed; Yes, as Yahya Kemal Beyatlı said, those who left this world will definitely never come back, but I think that if those who left this world left a work in their lives, it will live in the hearts of the people who read his works, just like the late Bangladeshi poet Abubakar Siddique, I remember him with mercy and gratitude. ..

"Binidra Kale Vale"1976
"Oloksabhyata"1984-
"Hemanter Sonalata" 1995
"Manush Tomar Bikshat Din" 1986-

Hiç yolcusu yokmuş gibi sessizce alır yol;

Dünyada sevilmiş ve seven nafile bekler;

THE ACTIVITIES OF INTERNATIONAL EMBASSIES IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract: The Republic of Uzbekistan conducts an open, mutually beneficial and constructive foreign policy based on its national interests. The modern transport political course of the republic is formed based on the rapidly changing situation in the world and
in the region, as well as large-scale changes within the country. In this article, we will talk about International Embassies in Uzbekistan We will cover the topic of embassies in detail.

Key words: Embassies, international relations, diplomatic cooperation, states, documents, historical works, international meetings.

There are about 39 Foreign Embassies and 6 Consulates placed in the territory of Uzbekistan. At present, the capital of Tashkent hosts 44 embassies. Embassies, trade missions with diplomatic status, President Ilhom Aliyev laid a wreath at the statue of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in front of the center. During the acquaintance with the
building, it is located on Haydar Aliev street in the center of Mirabad district of Tashkent, where Azerbaijanis live compactly. It was informed that there are museums of Heydar Aliyev, the history of Azerbaijan statehood, mutual friendship of Azerbaijan and
Uzbekistan in the center.

President Ilhom Aliyev was the first to get acquainted with the Heydar Aliyev Museum. In it materials reflecting different periods of the national leader's life and activities, photo documents immortalizing his meetings with state leaders, opinions of famous people about Heydar Aliyev have been collected. During his visit to the Museum of the History of Azerbaijan Statehood, President Ilhom Aliyev was given detailed information about the maps, historical documents, and famous people of our republic, which once occupied an area of 400,000 square kilometers.

The exhibits collected in the Museum of Friendship of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan speak about the ancient historical and cultural relations between our countries, as well as the current developing relations. President Ilhom Aliev inspected the conference hall of
the Center. It was announced that Azerbaijani music, dance and folklore ensembles will also perform in the cultural center in the future. In addition, an Azerbaijani school and a library were established here. After getting acquainted with the center, President Ilhom Alive met with members of the Azerbaijani diaspora.

Congratulating our compatriots on the occasion of the opening of the center, our President said: - I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart. I congratulate the opening of this wonderful cultural center after a major renovation. Six years ago, we celebrated the opening of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center here together with the honorable teacher Shavkat. If the building of that time was probably acceptable for that time, it is certainly more suitable for today.

Therefore, it was decided to completely renovate this cultural center, and with the direct participation of the embassy, with the great support of the Uzbek government, a very beautiful, magnificent, magnificent center was created. I mean, this cultural center
has more than six years of history, but today its new era is beginning.

Because major renovation works were carried out with very high quality and taste. This center is, in fact, a symbol of Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan friendship. The Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Friendship
Museum also operates in this center. This center is named after the great leader Heydar Aliyev. And this is very meaningful. Because the head of the great state Heydar Aliyev has always made great efforts to develop relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

During the Soviet period, the relations between our peoples were very close, built on the basis of brotherhood, especially during the period of independence, the leaders of the two countries played a very important role in reaching the current level of mutual relations. In
other words, our friendship has a long history and historical roots. As independent countries, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have raised this cooperation to a higher level in recent years.

The participants of the event once again expressed their gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan for his contribution to the development of friendly and brotherly relations between our nations. Then a souvenir photo was taken. After that, President Ilhom Aliyev visited the exhibition of the works of the late Azerbaijani sculptor Eynulla
Aliyev who lived in Samarkand, organized in the exhibition hall of the Cultural Center.

Strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia signed on June 16, 2004, agreements on alliance relations of November 14, 2005 and deepening of strategic cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation signed on
June 4, 2012 comprehensive strengthening and gradual development of friendly relations on the basis of the declaration is fully in line with the interests of the two countries and serves to strengthen peace and security in the region.

The most important tasks of bilateral relations are to complete the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev to Russia on April 4-5, 2017 and the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin to Uzbekistan on October 18-19, 2018. is to ensure its
implementation. Particularly Germany, France, Great Britain, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Latvia and other countries to a higher level.

Our republic consistently pursues a policy aimed at strengthening friendship and cooperation with the state of Turkey, which has a
centuries-old common history, common language and religion, common values and similar traditions. Our country will develop mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkey, including trade, investment and tourism.

The Pros and Cons of Privatizing Enterprises and Organizations: Exploring the Impact on Production Development in Uzbekistan

Abstract: The article raises the issue of withdrawing enterprises from state control and fundamentally renewing Uzbekistan's businesses. Currently, there are 2,819 state-owned enterprises in the country. The majority of them cannot even pay dividends due to their outdated and inefficient methods of operation. Additionally, there has been no modernization or reconstruction of these enterprises for years. The possibilities and development opportunities provided to enterprises through privatization are highlighted.

Key words: Privatization, oil and gas industry, market economy, private ownership, state ownership, production, products, modernization, reconstruction, raw materials, jobs.

Introduction

Since the early years of independence, the Uzbekistan government has given great attention to the privatization of enterprises and organizations. The main reason for this is the transition to a market economy. The privatization program was developed and is being implemented in line with the "Uzbek model" of the transition to a market economy, which takes into account the social, spiritual, and cultural aspects of the country and its people. The market economy is based on private ownership, and each consumer is more careful about their property. This ensures quality and efficient service of the property for many years.

The Law No. 425-XII "On Expropriation and Privatization" adopted on November 19, 1991, is the basis for many processes of privatization in Uzbekistan. For example, the privatization of banks in the country has turned them into joint-stock companies.

Relevance of the research topic is the need to fundamentally update approaches to privatization, attract international experts, and move to a system specific to the market economy is necessary. Specialists in privatization and corporate management need to be trained and their qualifications upgraded. In addition, managers of state-owned enterprises should be trained in this regard. Privatization of state-owned factories is also a major focus.

Setting a scientific problem. One such factory is the Fergana Oil Refinery, a subsidiary of Uzneftmahsulot joint-stock company located in the Fergana region. The plant produces more than 56 products, including octane gasoline, aviation kerosene, diesel fuel, coconut, various motor and diesel oils, and paraffin. However, the enterprise uses only 50% of its potential due to the lack of modernization and reconstruction of the enterprise over the past 20 years, the lack of basic raw materials for the full operation of the plant in Uzbekistan, and the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the demand for the enterprise's products has sharply decreased.

The purpose of the study is to highlight the central importance of the oil and gas industry in ensuring the economic freedom of any country. Minerals such as oil, gas, hydrocarbons, and coal are considered the raw material base of the oil and gas industry, which is more profitable than any other industry. According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 11, 2021, No. P F-6167 on "Further Accelerating the Processes of Privatization of State Assets," 100% share in the authorized capital of "UzAssets" JSC, "FNQIZ" LLC had announced its desire to sell through a public sale process.

Scientific essence. Privatization of enterprises has been an ongoing process in many countries, including Uzbekistan. To achieve success in this endeavor, it is important to study the experiences of foreign enterprises while taking into account their achievements and shortcomings. In the case of the oil and gas industry, which relies heavily on a rich resource base, it is crucial to ensure its profitability.
Resource abundance has been a major factor in the growth of oil production in many countries. The oil sector is particularly focused on the utilization of this resource. Some of the largest representatives of countries rich in natural resources in the world are the USA, Canada, Australia, Spain, countries of the Persian Gulf, Malaysia, Norway, Lebanon, and Russia.

Studying the experiences of these countries can provide valuable insights into the best practices for privatization and resource utilization in the oil and gas industry. This includes strategies for increasing profitability, modernizing infrastructure, and improving efficiency. However, it is also important to consider the unique social, cultural, and economic contexts of each country in the development of privatization programs.

In Uzbekistan, the government has already taken steps to accelerate the privatization process through the sale of state assets. For example, UzAssets JSC and FNQIZ LLC have recently been put up for public sale. However, to ensure the success of privatization and development of the oil and gas industry, it is essential to continue learning from the experiences of other countries while adapting strategies to local conditions. This includes investing in the training and development of skilled professionals in privatization and corporate management. By doing so, Uzbekistan can unlock the full potential of its oil and gas resources and create a more prosperous future for its citizens.

Methodology used. Research at work grouping, categoriinge, comparing, induction, deduction, surveillance, statistics analysis were used.

The main part. We maintain state participation even in areas where it is not necessary. "There have been no significant changes in the management of state-owned enterprises, increasing the effectiveness of their activities, transferring their functions to the private sector," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

After the successful privatization of the Fergana Oil Refinery in Uzbekistan, the foreign company "Sanoat Energetika Group" (formerly Jizzakh Petroleum) has taken over the plant with a commitment to invest more than 380 million US dollars for the modernization of the plant. With their extensive experience and availability of necessary raw materials, the company is expected to bring numerous benefits to the country. These include the production of modern and environmentally friendly gasoline, diesel fuel that meets Euro-5 requirements, Jet A-1 jet fuel, and increased production of liquefied natural gas. The modernization of oil aggregates and an increase in production capacity by at least 2 million tons are also included in their investment plan.

To develop a privatized oil enterprise that can compete at the global level, it is important to follow certain suggestions and recommendations. Firstly, investing in liquefied natural gas (LNG) production and technology is a smart move that can enhance the enterprise's profitability. Additionally, searching for other sources of oil and gas can help secure the raw materials needed for production.

It is also suggested to organize new departments such as oil and gas processing, petrochemistry, and gas chemistry within the enterprise to expand its operations. Attracting equipment and technologies for gas stations, along with purchasing new non-destructive testing (NDT) and automated control systems (ACS) equipment, can further improve the quality of products and services. Finally, the wide introduction of information technology (IT) in the oil and gas industry can facilitate full deep processing of oil raw materials and help develop the enterprise's production capabilities.

It appears that America is the leader in the length of both pipelines, while the shortest pipelines are in Great Britain.

If we look at more specific data, the length of the oil pipeline in America was 276.0 km and the gas pipeline was 331.0 km. And with this index, it made a big difference from other countries. Following this, Russia also had longer pipelines than the rest of the countries, but gas pipelines were two times less than America, and oil pipelines were almost four times less. Mexico also had long oil pipelines with 39.7, but gas pipelines were 3 times less. The length of the oil pipelines of Germany and France was the same with 7.5, but the length of the gas pipelines was different, that is, the length of the first one was 97.6 and the second one was 24.7.

A similar phenomenon was observed in Italy and Great Britain, namely the oil pipelines were almost equal in both, but the gas pipelines were different and they were also lower than 20. Canadian oil pipelines were almost 3 times less than gas pipelines, and gas pipelines were estimated at 75.0. And in other countries, China and Argentina, oil pipelines were below 11 and gas pipelines were below 10, ie the former was 6.2 and the latter was 9.9

Overall, the successful privatization of the Fergana Oil Refinery and the commitment of the new owner to invest in modernization and expansion provide great opportunities for the development of the oil and gas industry in Uzbekistan. By following the recommendations and suggestions outlined above, the privatized enterprise can further increase its competitiveness and contribute to the country's economic growth.

the wild summer sun and the countenance of the earth

the two men in Orlando were talking about baseball, and thinking of it, the two men in Nevada were talking about hockey. the first two spoke of spring training and the second two of drafts and players old and new. each time I went away from the group and tried to find what the landscape said. birds or the lakes, the desert sun or the vastness of rocky natural structures. they were not wrong per se, but they never looked up to see the sun, thought I. and the dusk would begin soon enough, and not having seen the brightness and the horizon, the firmament clouds say, and not having listened to the wind, then what would they do and what would they really know beyond statistics and local gossip?

Cars and Stars, and Coyote Road Abridged, Destinies and Nonduality-Advaita-Vedanta

first I was a incarnated and then not long after I was in a little store on the south west side of an intersection that was almost always grey and dirty, unwelcoming and represented the tough and rugged parts of a metropolis and not the good aspects. I wonder if anything is still there where that shop was. I suppose something is there. in the middle was a huge display with toy cars. i didn’t want the cars and never thought of it,- not even one car and not even once. I just liked how it all looked. I was not identified w/the world in the way others were. Later I was gifted many, many toy cars and the person taking care of me stole them.

decades later I sat with the two blondes on a large swing in the dusk in a northern town. one, the Piscean had long hair and one had short they were saying how the world was and were very smart. yes one was a Pisces and I don’t like Pisces but she was on the level and an exception. her eyes and her cheeks looked like a Pisces woman, as were the problems she struggled with. I told them they were great people the two of them which was true, but that i had to go. a few weeks later the one called me and I knew something was wrong at the first ring because she never called me. she was calling to say the blonde Piscean on the level woman was dead. she had been killed in a car accident by a drunk driver.

I thought of how much I didn’t like cars much anymore, and I was soon under the summer dusk but the dusk would turn to night which is dark and the summer would turn to autumn which is less colourful indeed and the autumn or fall speaks of winter and it’s bold and cold and grey times that wait like a disease or an unfortunate or even tragic destiny.

Yet, not too far north of there where the town ended, an old brick church unintentionally marking a quick liminal way between the two, a church from another, simpler time,  well there began snow. and that snow, because no heat troubled it, stayed on the ground and branches and the whole world there… evergreens-sumac-stones, little streams, wide and narrow paths, birch trees, shriveling strange old mushrooms plus a myriad of other things of course,…and far,- so far in a distant field framed by beige reeds that danced just a bit for a winter wind whose end had reached them, a hawk sat at the very top of an old tree that was leafless. it surely surveyed the landscape stoically, sagaciously, and it looked for some reason that it had been there forever. how the hawk is loved more than the world. how the hawk means more than the whole world. how the hawk by the snow in the abandoned winter fields under the opacity of the firmament is then the world.

those old leaves and the ridge or the valley floor

wandering along the old path. how old is that path and the surrounding ones and who made them through the summer way, the autumnal breeze, the winter snow wafting or the spring rain light and kissing the air? the aged tree, fallen a long time ago, off the ridge and across the valley floor, its root system exposed and looking like a thousand intertwined phantoms from an underworld unknown. up there somewhere, red sumac that receives the snow, and the sumac is calm, stoic, for maybe it knows something on the other side of drama or has never believed fully in the world. yes the blue sky peaks out briefly but soon, too soon, it is grey and overcast again. the evergreens and old leaves, the valley and ridge and the small and large paths see it through always. so shall we.

Singular Universe

“What you do not have you find everywhere.” — W. S. Merwin

Words harden in recollection.
Pull each one towards you,
cry like they seem evil.

Lay out some traps
for half a dozen—it’s a craft:
fool an infinitive
into holding out for hope.

You don’t need
a permit to live inside your head—
put a foot on the ladder.

Copy out a line:
the sounds of a singular
universe being built.

Call to Action

A great deal of latitude
and an abundance of caution
can be an isolating experience—
what greater enemy does one have
than oneself?

When the ink hits the screen,
it is an indispensable bit
of programming—the totality
of what you did or said

in the aboveground world.

The Creative Process

Imagine the scent
of fine paper in summer—
a time when one’s taste exceeds
one’s abilities.

To sense your decay
is not the same as loving it.
A bromide

about the creative process
is that you are often

nostalgic for a candy
you have never even tasted.

Or, to oversimplify,
it is the erasure of mortality
in the sometimes-painful present.

A Rainbow Every Day

for R

Carry off a little darkness
one piece at a time.
I’ve been around for long—
there’s a reason why all sinners are saints.

You’ll know it’s me when I come
through the road to happiness.
Allow me to introduce myself—
a victim of the times,
the gods they made
of you and me.

We didn’t start the fire
and tell the world that everything’s okay.
What else do I have to say?
I can’t take it anymore.
The words inside my head—a blitzkrieg—
but what’s puzzling you?

I get a unicorn out of a zebra,
the truth from a thousand lies.
I erase myself, clean this slate
with the hands of a believer.

I can’t be what I’m not.
There’s a game called circle—
as heads is tails.

I’d love to wear a rainbow every day.
