Poetry from Shannon Scoates

When Night Meets Peace

Night settles

gently over

the silver

and blue

sleeping earth

As quiet hands

draw the

last light

into the

sky

Her presence barely

visible

for she is

the Midnight

Peace Enchantress

Moonlight gathers

upon the surface

of still

and sleeping

waters

Until they shimmer

like whispered

prayers drifting

through twilight

The darkness curls

around her shoulders

like soft

silken

wings

While hidden stars

awaken quietly

inside the velvet

night

Each star carries

a secret peace

never spoken

aloud

Delivering it

to dreamers sleeping

beneath quiet

silver

skies

Her long veil

woven from moonlight

and fading

starlight

Flows behind her

like a river

of sapphire

and pearl

And all who wander

into her night

leave carrying

a quieter

heart.

Poetry from Milka J. Šolaja

IT IS NOT A WORD THAT IS LIED TO

Are you the man

who kissed me in the rain,

whose name I don’t even know…

Are you the one to whom,

I,

enraptured,

spoiled my rhymes…

You listened to me,

found yourself in them,

in cold mornings

and quiet evenings,

and I looked for you

in every verse

and every word…

You couldn’t

stop me…

I was surprised that out of

so many words

I didn’t tell a single lie…

I was very careful

not to say I LOVE YOU,

because it has a special charm…

It is not a word that is said,

that is lied to…

That word is in the heart,

in anxiety, in the soul…

It is kept among the mute…

It is not spoken,

it suffocates you,

while it is in the chest…

It remains hidden and waits silently

when we are far away and alone,

resonating within us like an echo,

it is felt in the darkness.

In the Palm of Fate

My love is like water in the hands of fate.

It finds the cracks and flows toward Mother Earth.

It plunges like waterfalls,

those great tears of water

that descend mercifully

to await the Sun and a new awakening,

upward, toward the sky.

Waters that flow and wait for sailboats,

and for sailing with the wind

that helps you breathe deeply,

happy that you are alive,

that you sail together,

while watery enchantments create a rainbow

that fades into the night

and goes to rest.

And I, weary, return to the palm of fate,

alone and without anyone,

with a prayer upon my lips.

Born for the word.

Born for fame.

Born for separation.

I bathe when the Sun gives way to the Moon,

until the riverbed gives way

and I awaken in the falling,

and so it goes,

again and again.

Poetry from Nidia Amelia García

A PURR OF LOVE

A touch of skin, a soft purr, that makes my heart beat faster, tender caresses. Loving cuddles, your gaze in mine, a deep love, makes me feel that I am unique in the world.

In your arms, I find my refuge, a safe place, where I can be myself.

With every caress, with every purr, you make me feel, wow, I love you more and more.

Love Reaction

Your love makes me shine,

Your kindness makes me feel,

Your heart is a pure heart,

Realising everything matters.

You know how much I care about you,

It reflects love.

Which encourages me,

 for further development steps.

You are reasonable for my healthy good thinking,

Your pic in my mind pushes me,

Force me for innovation and creation.

New hope, light & hard work.

You are beside me, my atmosphere is cool,

I got more energy from energy,

Every day create new dream, new achievement,

Because you have with me, it is reaction of love.

Poetry from Milena Pčinjski

THE LABELERS

Do you see

how they have labeled us

and divided us?

They say: you are a Doctor,

and you – a Professor!

You are a Peasant,

and you – an Auto Mechanic!

You are a Journalist,

and you – a Poet!

What do you,

Gentlemen Labelers,

know about who I am?

Language is a marvel!

How conveniently it governs our consciousness.

Our mind is like an overpacked suitcase of concepts

that we carry with us wherever we go.

If only it were always useful!

How often we pull out words like laundry,

yet not a single one truly fits us.

We dress ourselves in that laundry

so that we will not remain naked.

For what would we do then?

Naked, improper,

unacceptable before the „world”.

Oh God, what misery.

You see, without words

we cannot enter this world of ours.

Just as we must put on some clothing,

so we clothe ourselves in words,

yet we often do not know how to choose them well.

So we lean on other people’s words,

on other people’s thoughts,

on knowledge someone else has gathered for us.

It would be better for all of us

to handle concepts

a little more precisely and honestly.

It would be more pleasant,

and more honorable,

to remain silent about what we do not know.

But who cares anymore

about meaning and truth?

They say – that is for Philosophers.

We are Ordinary People.

The Philosopher carefully opens his suitcase

and even more carefully chooses his clothes,

while the Ordinary man simply throws things around as best as he can.

And then, like a parrot,

we repeat the same phrase countless times:

Where is this world heading?

Poetry from Graciela Noemi Villaverde

Ballad of the Moon and My Homeland

The moon is not a distant lantern

but the hand that caresses the mountain range

and descends slowly, through the valleys,

until it touches the river that bears the name of us all.

It leans over the endless plains

like one who peers into the heart of what they love,

and each stalk of wheat that bends beneath its light

is a vow silently renewed.

It knows the paths the wind travels,

the ancient footprints the earth does not forget,

the slow fire that dwells in every heart

—that fire that does not go out even when storms pass.

There is no distance that separates them,

no wall, no border, no oblivion.

The moon is the mirror where my homeland sees its soul,

and my homeland is the land where the moon learns to be eternal.

They embrace in the wordless night,

like two lovers who no longer need to say anything:

she, light that falls;  The homeland, the land that receives,

and between the two, the whole world is born each dawn
