I AM A POET…

Why don’t I tell a girl what’s on my mind when ten people are arguing?

I am a poet,

I am the reason for various conversations,

sometimes in succession.

I spit,

I live with your bright memory,

I burn my love tree, turn it into ashes

I scatter it at your feet

My God,

what is this frog without you,

Isn’t your thread fixed on the throne?

No event can surpass me,

My lofty thoughts are gone!

The fire is burning,

my insides are burning,

the sky is bleeding from my eyes,

Oh-h…

My heart will become a banner for the throne,

it will be destroyed by slanders…

Nothing will burn, nothing will end,

the universe will not be fair without a trace,

Zuhal will preserve my heart,

life will preserve my name…

A harem or a white father,

will never destroy me

Like the red tongues of fire,

I will burn, blazing, blazing…

My God,

I swear by the Love you gave me,

no words can extinguish me,

I am a poet,

if I die one day,

Lovelessness will take me away….

Biography: Abdullah Akhmatovich Mengkobilov (Abdulla Vakhsh) was burn in  Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan. Poet, writer. President, National Award Committee of Uzbekistan. Extensive experience in establishing and successfully managing national and international organizations in the fields of culture, science, literature, and the arts. Co-Chair and Expert of the Literary Committee of the Assembly of the Peoples of the World; Member of the Governing Council of the World Organization of Writers (WOW). Established professional relations with creative unions and cultural institutions of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, as well as leading literary academies across Europe and Asia. Many years of professional experience within the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan (NTRC), combined with a deep understanding of the country’s cultural heritage and artistic traditions. Fluent in Uzbek, Russian, Tajik, and Kazakh, enabling effective communication with cultural and academic communities across the region and internationally. 

LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE AND PUBLIC ACTIVITIES International Academy of Literature, Arts, Culture and Social Sciences (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) Founder and President / Publishing Director September 17, 2023 – Present Provides strategic leadership to an international institution bringing together researchers, artists, writers, and public figures. Leads the World Union of Folk Art Figures, coordinating the expert and creative activities of approximately 450 distinguished scholars and cultural leaders. Organizes expert evaluation, selection, and publication of outstanding literary and scientific works on an international level. Literary Committee of the Assembly of the Peoples of the World in Uzbekistan Co-Chair and Chief Literary Expert Present Leads expert commissions responsible for the evaluation of literary, artistic, and cultural projects. Selects candidates and works for international awards, festivals, and state honors. National Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NTRC) TV Journalist and Editor-in-Chief Covered state cultural initiatives and promoted national values, culture, and prominent figures of Uzbek arts and literature. 

CREATIVE ACHIEVEMENTS Author of more than 250 literary works translated into 30 languages worldwide. Contributor and laureate of numerous international literary anthologies, including publications in the United States and the United Kingdom.  He is currently the President of the National Award Committee for the Noble Laureate Award for Uzbekistan.
