Poetry from Gregg Dotoli

Marmalade Sunrise

I hear you between perfect notes
See you in each marmalade sunrise
dream of you
wake with you
you’re earth’s finest spring
and most elegant hour
exotic scents and nature’s spell
awaken the you in me
as warm rays whisper your name
I know I’ll never be the same

AI code is reinventing Labor
physical bots replace labor
And build for us
A choice:

Expand or minimize our minds
Waxing sameness and bell curves
May drive our lives
pelted with homogenized reiteration slop and misinformation
A spawned distrust
Labor becomes days of rest
forced sloth or voluntary reinvention

Among the hottest hots
and the driest droughts
the iguana never shouts

  1. The rhythm felt slightly off in the second stanza. My personal experience with that specific type of citrus blend differs from the general impression you gave. BiciTecnica3
